This article provides information for employers who have been contacted about the termination of an apprenticeship provider’s funding agreements.
What to do if you are not sure why you have been contacted
If a training provider you work with has its apprenticeship funding agreements with ESFA terminated, DfE will write to notify you at the earliest opportunity.
DfE will write to all employers with continuing apprentices according to the training provider’s apprenticeship data.
If you receive communication from DfE regarding the termination of a training provider's apprenticeship funding agreement and you are unsure why you have been contacted, please contact DfE to clarify the situation.
Contacting DfE
You can contact DfE by following these steps using the Customer Help Portal:
When prompted with the "Is this enquiry about a specific organisation?" screen, select "yes" and provide the details of the provider mentioned in the communication you received from DfE.
- When asked "What is your enquiry about?", select "Provider Closure."
- On the enquiry details screen, specify the nature of your enquiry by typing "I am not sure why I have been contacted" in the "Add a short title" box.
- In the "What is your enquiry?" box, provide the following information:
- The name of your organisation
- The employer reference number stated in the communication received from DfE
- Confirmation of whether you recognise the name of the apprenticeship training provider mentioned in the communication
- Confirmation of whether you have ever enrolled any employee(s) in an apprenticeship with the training provider mentioned
- Any additional details regarding employee(s) who may have undertaken apprenticeship training with the provider mentioned
