What is View your education data (VYED)?

VYED is a secure online service that allows organisations to access and analyse data held by the Department for Education (DfE).

It provides organisations with data tools, such as dashboards and reports, to help drive data-led decisions.

What types of data can I access?

VYED hosts a range of data tools to help with reporting, planning and decision-making in education settings. Some of the data includes:

  • Monitor your school attendance - track attendance trends and identify pupils who may need extra support.
  • Qualification achievement rates - view post-16 achievement rates data to help with analysis and reporting.
  • Good level of development data - get insight into your early years foundation stage profile (EYFS profile) data, compared to the local, regional and national average.

How do I access good level of development (GLD) data in VYED?

You’ll first need to create a DfE Sign-in account if you do not have one.

  2. Under ‘Related actions’, select ‘Request access to an organisation’.
