PE and sport premium expenditure reporting return
Some schools may have received an email asking them to complete the PE and sport premium expenditure reporting return. For the PE and sport premium Conditions of Grant schools have to complete and submit all five sub-forms of the digital expenditure reporting return. This outlines how the school has used its PE and sport premium and the impact it has had on achieving the aims and objectives of the funding.

Which forms do I need to complete?
To make sure the full submission is complete, please check you have completed the following forms:
- form 1: your school’s PE and sport premium funding allocation for the 2024 to 2025 academic year
- form 2: details of how the PE and sport premium funding has been spent for the 2024 to 2025 academic year
- form 3: the outcomes of spending the PE and sport premium – opportunities, impacts, sustainability details, and meeting swimming and water safety requirements
- form 4: confirmation required of your school’s PE and sport premium funding allocation for the 2024 to 2025 academic year and your school’s name
- form 5: final declaration (only available to access and complete once all other forms have been successfully submitted)
How do I compete the return?
- Go to Complete the PE and sport premium expenditure reporting return - GOV.UK on GOV.UK
- Check which forms you still need to
- complete the outstanding forms
- then complete and submit the final declaration form.
Once completed, your school’s submission will report on our systems.

If your records show that you have already submitted all sub-forms and the final declaration form, please send a screenshot of this to the PE and sport team directly at pe.premium@education.gov.uk.
