Monitor your school attendance pre-populated attendance codes

You may have noticed an update to your data in the Monitor your school attendance tools. This change happened because we fixed a limitation with pre-populated attendance codes.

The limitation meant pre-populated attendance codes that had been entered in school management information systems (MIS) were not appearing in the Monitor your school attendance dashboard and Compare your school attendance.

We resolved this limitation on Friday 24 April 2026. If you had pre-populated attendance codes, you may find that sessions that were pre-populated have now updated in the Monitor your school attendance dashboard.

This should improve the alignment between the attendance data in Monitor your school attendance and your MIS.

Please remember schools should not input future attendance session codes into attendance registers. The attendance register should be recorded during your morning and afternoon sessions.
