You may wish to collect Individualised Learner Record (ILR) learner data for the academic year in more than one file.

However, to upload your data to Submit learner data or run it through FIS (Funding Information System) tool, you’ll need to merge your files into one single xml file.

ILR FileMerge is free ESFA software that combines xml files together, Including files produced in different MI systems.

You can download ILR FileMerge and follow the instructions in our ILR FileMerge user guide.
