Creating and uploading a course for the course directory
What is the course directory?
Publish to the course directory is a service that education and training providers use to publish information about courses delivered on behalf of the Department for Education (DfE).
Prospective learners can view the published courses on the get careers information and and advice website.
Learners can use the directory to search for courses and find details about the courses available to them, such as eligibility, cost and course content.
Creating and uploading courses to the course directory
If you're contracted through the DfE, you must create a course through the course directory provider portal to be included on the list of courses for learners to filter and search.
Create an account
To create an account to publish to the course directory:
- Create a DfE Sign-in account.
- Request access to your organisation using your DfE Sign-in account.
- Once the DfE team approves your request, email support@coursedirectory.org.uk to request access.
- We will then review your request and give you access to the service if you meet the requirements.
Publish and manage your courses
Once you have access you can publish courses to the course directory and manage your courses which are shown on Get careers information and advice.
Keeping your organisation details up to date
We display your organisation's contact details alongside the courses and T Levels you publish.
We use the contact details held on the UK Register of Learning Providers (UKRLP).
Keep your contact details up to date with UKRLP. If your contact details are missing or incorrect, your published courses may not appear correctly for learners.
To update your details, contact UKRLP directly.
