The FS2 fully meets the Condition of Funding (you have to flag them as exempt using MCF 5) so the learner wouldn't *have* to do GCSE. Depending on their future plans, it may be advantageous for them to have a higher grade GCSE pass (if they're planning to go to university perhaps) and there would be no restriction in delivering GCSE to them in that case.

Condition of Funding - Apprenticeship to Full time SP
Created
Good Afternoon,
I have a learner who has recently completed their Level 2 Apprenticeship and would like do their Level 3 via the full time Study Programme route. They are exempt from English (GCSE 4) and they completed Level 1 & 2 Functional Skills Maths alongside their Apprenticeship.
My question is, they have a grade 3 in Maths GCSE, do we have to put this learner through GCSE Maths to meet the condition of funding or can we use the FS level 2 achievement?
Thank you in advanced for your support
