“Longstop Date” means the date on which an extension to the Contract Period which has been granted by the Department under Clause 2.3 solely to give Learners recruited prior to the ESFA Expiry Date an opportunity to complete their Learning Programmes, comes to an end;

I think it is clear in 2.3 that learners who started prior to 31/7/2023 would be funded for 12 months and may be carried over to 23/24.
2.3 In order to give Learners recruited prior to the relevant Expiry Date an opportunity to complete their Learning Programmes, the Department may extend the Contract Period for the relevant period necessary to achieve this, subject to a Longstop Date. In the case of the original Expiry Date the Longstop Date will be the 12 month anniversary of the date when the last Learner was recruited before the original Expiry Date or 31 July 2023, whichever is the earlier. Where the Contract Period has been extended in accordance with Clause 2.5 and the Expiry Date has been updated in accordance with Clause 2.5, the Longstop Date will be the 12 month anniversary of the relevant revised Expiry Date.

AEB 'longstop' date?
Created
Morning,
I’m hoping somebody can clarify something for me please as I haven't heard back from the Service Desk yet. In the current AEB contract there is a term called ‘longstop date’ that I don't recognise, relates to clause 2.3 in relation to the last dates learners can enrol and achieve.
Does anybody know if that means that, on our existing AEB contract, all learners must finish by 31.07.23 or can they carry over into 23/24 and be funded to completion?
Thanks
Steve
