Functional Skills End Dates

Created

None

Hi, a query related to Functional Skills funding for Apprenticeships.

In the ILR, providers enter an expected end date for when they anticipate the FS aim will end so that the £471 FS funding can be spread across the duration of the FS delivery.

Please can you let us know:

  1. If the learner finishes the FS delivery earlier than the anticipated FS end date originally entered and we enter the actual FS completion end date in the ILR – does this trigger the payment of the remainder of the £471?

  1. Are there any consequences when FS delivery finishes earlier than the anticipated end date?

  1.  If the learner finishes the FS delivery later than the anticipated FS end date, it would mean that the FS delivery went beyond the anticipated FS funding end date in the ILR. Are there any consequences when FS delivery goes beyond the anticipated end date? (The full £471 payment will have been paid in full at this point).

Thanks,

1. Yes.

2. Not really. Auditors might get a bit grumpy if it's happening to everyone and say you need to plan better (ie if everyone is completing after six months but you've got it set up for 12, will probably advise you to set them up for six instead)

3. No.
