Apprenticeship completion with no achievement

Created

Hi I have an apprentice with a PED of 19/09/2021, they attempted an EPA on 20/05/2022 which they failed.

They declined any further support but sent an email dated in November confirming they no long want to continue.

I am being asked to use the November date as last point of contact as their end date.

I am reading the guidance but slightly confused as to the completion date to use on the ILR - can anyone clarify?

Doesn't help when the information has only just been received.

There isn't really a "completion" date as far as the ILR is concerned. You'll need to have recorded the following

  • Learning actual end date - the date the last learning activity took place
  • Achievement date - the date the EPA period concluded, in this case 20/05/2022
  • Completion status - 2-completed the learning activities
  • Outcome - 3-no achievement

The fact they've only just told you they don't want to take it again is a bit of an error in judgement on your part, as you'll now have missed out on getting the 20% completion payment due to not having reported the failure in the appropriate contract year.
