FE Workforce Census and in-year leavers

Interested to know how others are managing this, especially if you work for a large organisation where apprenticeship training is only a small part of your business

Some of the data fields in the census we keep anyway for all staff but quite a number of them we don't, and had to collect this information specifically in order to return it to ESFA.

Last year's guidance said that if a member of staff is in scope, but has left by the time the data collection window opens, providers are expected to have the relevant information collected for the census return, collected while the person was employed.

Bearing in mind that many of the data items can change (role, qualifications etc), are you doing regular in-year collections to make sure that your data is kept up-to-date or do you have a process to flag a leaver who is potentially in scope and quickly update their data?
