EU Settlement Scheme code problems

Created

Hi,

Just wondering if others continually have problems checking this? We often have learners give us the share code, we enter it along with their Date of Birth, our job title and company name, then when it asks 'why are you checking this person's status' we select 'another reason' and type Apprenticeship, but then the next screen just says 'there is a problem with this share code'.

I've queried it before with the helpdesk but they just say to request another code, however a learner has given us three different codes and we keep getting this error, anybody got any suggestions?

Thanks

Steve

The links are only valid for a specific length of time. Has the link expired?

I’ve also experienced this at times too

Hi,

The share code lasts for 90 days according to the email so they haven't expired, just don't want to keep asking the learner to generate codes when it seems the website isn't working properly (they have already generated three codes)...

Hi,

There is two government websites that do similar things and the codes don't inter work.

Check a job applicant's right to work: use their share code - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk)

Check someone's immigration status: use their share code - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk)

Thank you Wayne, that's what I was doing wrong then, I'd been using the bottom link, tried the top one and it worked :-)

Hello

If you’re looking for evidence a learner has pre settled/settled status for residency/eligibility purposes you will need to use the second link as evidence of right to work is not the same.
