You don't actually have to pause the funding record at all - the end date in the ILR will take care of ensuring payments aren't taken for the BIL period.
This thread might be useful as it also covers DLOCK 12: https://esfahelp.education.gov.uk/hc/en-gb/community/posts/4403073548050-DLOCK-12-error-help-please-

2x APPRENTICESHIPS on BREAK IN LEARNING
Created
I have 2 Apprentices that have gone on biL
1x Apprentice has come up on the apprenticeship mismatch report when submitting the ILR; mismatch between the end date of the learning aim and the date the DAS was paused. The end date of the learning aim (and last day of learning) was end of Mar but the DAS was only paused on 02May. There is no option to backdate this pause and therefore it throws up a 'DLOCK_12' mismatch that I cannot clear; I am guessing this is OK to leave?
The other Apprentice has NOT shown up as a mismatch but is exactly the same scenario? The aim end date was end of Mar but DAS was paused on 02May. I do not understand why this one is NOT a mismatch?
The only differences are 2nd Apprentice has already had 1 bil (Jan & Feb) / We are ending restarted learning aims for bil / The Apprentice has restarted & ended the aim within the same month (Mar). Is this why there is no mismatch flagging?
(we are an Employer Provider so my colleague paused the DAS whilst myself and a colleague work on the ILR - therefore I am 100% that the DAS was paused on 02May-Yesterday)
Any help and guidance on this before Friday would be greatly appreciated as I need to submit the ILR by then!
Thank you Emma
