Change of Training Provider - Funding Implications?

Hello, I am trying to help an employer and apprentice transfer from one training provider to another, part-way through their 4-year apprenticeship. If they withdrew from their current training provider, and then applied to start the same apprenticeship with a new training provider a few months later (taking into account APL) would this work? What impact would this have on the cost/funding from an employer's perspective?

Hi Tara

Withdrawing the learner from one training provider and then doing the same with a different one to finish off would be fine. The new training provider should do a Skill Scan with the apprentice to show any recognised prior learning and in turn reduce the time and cost of the course so that the learner is only sitting the remainder that they haven't done yet. The only cost to the employer would be the 5% co-investment for the amount after the skill scan unless they are a levy payer.
