Hi all,
Just wanted to get a feel on this. Apprentice is being hired by a holiday park in the hospitality industry, they are closed for 3 months of the year.
If they are in active learning with the provider during those 3 closure months then I'm assuming this is not an issue.
Do we treat this a bit like Zero hours and divide the contracted hours across the reduced year.(9/12 =0.75 thus 40 hours would become 30 hours as an average contract. Assuming they were contracted to 40 during the opening months.
Any other pitfalls people can think of or reasons why this isn't eligible?
