Apprentice - Break in Learning

Hi, we recently had an Apprentice that started on her Programme and has only attended one of her Training Days which was the date she started. She is currently pregnant and unfortunately she is very poorly and is unable to attend training and has decided that she is going to return after she has had the baby. Can the Apprentice be put on a break in learning from the date she started? I have read in the guidance that the qualifying days for funding is 42 days, is this correct? Thanks in advance.

You *could* put her on a break, but would personally just w/d and start her from fresh when she's ready. Because it's within the first 42 days, it won't count against your achievement rates.
