Training Plan & Apprenticeship Agreement Template 23/24

"No later than the end of June" was the suggestion at a recent webinar re. the new training plan template. Apprenticeship agreement wasn't mentioned explicitly, but I kinda doubt there'll be a new one.

Ben, I've just seen your comment from the webinar that the new template will be available "No later than the end of June". Given the relatively unique way our programme operates the vast majority of our apprentices commence during the last week in June/first week in July. I'm curious as to how others would approach this, as the funding rules state agreements must be signed and in place prior to delivery taking place. Would you just use last years, or create your own but using next years funding rules to dictate the content?

If the apprenticeship training starts before August 1st they'd be a 22/23 start, not a 23/24.. so you'd be beholden to the funding rules for the current year (exceptions notwithstanding). No reason you couldn't use the current templates and amend/update to better suit your needs. They're not mandatory after all, only the (broad) content.

Hi, has anyone had site of the new template for 23/24 yet for the training plan?

I contacted the ESFA this morning for an update on any templates being available and got the response below; 

'Unfortunately, the 23/24 provider rules are still in draft until 1st August 2023.  We are still using the 2022/2023 funding rules until the 1st August 2023.' 

Not helpful at all!!  

does anyone know if a Negotiated Price template is available yet to include the new funding rules? TIA

The Specialist Support team have been in touch today to let us know the following;
 
Yes, we are updating collateral, but providers should note these documents are for guidance only, everything that they need to know in relation to off the job training is in the funding rules. 
 
In the new Of the Job (OTJ) guide, we are aligning the questions to what is in the 2023/24 funding rules (so there is a little bit of new information around revision for example). 
 
On the apprenticeship agreement we are streamlining the notes page so that it fits onto 1 page as opposed to 2. However, there is nothing wrong with the current one that is online, this can still be used. 
 
This also applies to the training plan; the online template can still be used.
