TNP 3 & 4 - No remaining monthly funding
Created
None
Hi all,
We have a learner who has changed employer a month after their planned end date (within 30 days). Overtime I've spoken to a few people at the DAS and have not been given a consistent answer.
The only remaining funding left to claim is the 20% upon completion of their EPA. They'll look to go into their EPA as soon as they are employed.
How do we need to do TNP3/4? (for example, £2000 completion payment left, EPA cost is £720)
Option 1. TNP 3 = £1280 TNP 4 £720 This example is taking into account the £2000 left to claim and taking away the EPA cost. This seems that it would then give us a few more monthly payments and a new 20%.
Option 2. TNP 3 = £0 TNP 4 - £720 This one taking into account that we have received all previous monthly payments and the DAS and so no more monthly payments to draw down. The 20% is put aside by the DAS and once we submit the achievement date, we'll get the remaining 20%.
Option 3 TNP 3 = £0 TNP 4 = £2000 Again, the 20% has been put aside by the DAS until completion, but have been told to put it as the whole of TNP 4.
Or do we need to give them a new planned end date, and work out the new total based on the 20% remaining and follow option 1 (and receive new monthly payments and a smaller 20% than the original planned)
Hope this makes sense, thanks in advance.

Option 1 as the remaining amount (completion payment) is split when TNP ¾ is used 80/20% between remaining monthly payments and completion payment.
No you cannot change the planned end date in the ILR.
