The funding rules say ‘over the planned duration of the apprenticeship practical period’ although when they are passed their planned end date the updated training plan may contain addition hours, but these are not recorded on the ILR but would contribute to actual OTJ hr’s on the ILR on completion or withdrawal.

We are having a discussion around the delivery of additional OTJ hours where an apprentice has gone beyond their planned end date. Should their actual minimum hours be 20% of their planned practical period as originally calculated or 20% of their actual practical period length?
