Unfunded Completion

Created

None

Hi All,

I hope someone can help, we have an unfunded learners (funding model 99) who has just completed EPA, we have updated the coding on the ILR the same as we would do for a funded learner, but I am getting rule violation AchDate_09 saying that the achievement date must not be completed.

I have checked everywhere and cannot see a reason why for funding model 99 you wouldn't put the completion/achievement info in, or is there something I need to be doing instead?

Thanks

Lisa

Hi, did you find a resolution to this? We now have the same issue appearing in our validation report and can't seem to shift the error.

Thanks

The collection requirements in the ILR specification for this field do not require it to be completed for Funding Model 99:

https://guidance.submit-learner-data.service.gov.uk/23-24/ilr/entity/LearningDelivery/field/AchDate

It doesn't explain the why though.  But to eliminate the errors I would assume you just don't enter an achievement date.

The logic behind the rule itself can be viewed here: https://guidance.submit-learner-data.service.gov.uk/23-24/ilr/appendices  On the Learning Delivery Rules tab, row 190.  This confirms that entering an achievement date for an apprenticeship that started after 31/07/2015 with a funding model of 99 will trigger the error.
