Completely unofficial, but as long as the original paperwork was signed in a timely manner, I think the general consensus is that most auditors would treat/have treated slightly late signatures on a change of employer (like this one) with a degree of latitude and common sense. Few weeks? Probably okay. Few months? Likely to get pinged for it.

23/24 funding rules on signatures for change of employer

Hi all,
I'm not sure this is going to be an issue but I'm pre-empting and wanted to know what others were doing.
At the moment for change of employer it is sometimes hard to get signatures on the date they moved. This can be for many reasons: we're not told about the COE until a week or two after they have moved, the manager is on annual leave an unable to do anything until they are back or they sometimes don't want to do it until the learner has been in the setting for a couple of weeks.
What do we think will happen if our signature dates are within 30 days of them moving? I.e. their change of employer date is let's say, 06/09/2023 but our signature dates are 28/09/2023 - would this be acceptable in audit we think?
Would be great to know how other companies plan on doing this moving forward :)
