HEI end dates V EPA end dates

Can the planned end date for an HE programme could be later than the planned end date of the apprenticeship.  If we recorded programmes/aims in this way we would end up triggering rule R89, described below:

The Learning actual end date for the latest programme aim must not be before the Learning actual end date of the latest component aim (not including English and maths)

Essentially, we would be recording the planned end date for the HE aim as later than the planned end date of the apprenticeship, then when the pre-EPA part of the HE was completed we would need to return an actual end date for the apprenticeship to record that on-programme learning was complete.  Then when the EPA part of the HE was completed, the actual end date for that aim would be later than that recorded against the apprenticeship

The training for the HE aim would end prior to the EPA.

Agree with Martin.

If you're saying the 'pre-EPA' part of the degree (HE aim) has been completed (i.e., they've done all of the learning activities) then you would mark that component aim as 2-completed, on the basis that the completion status is a measure of the learning activities toward the aim. You could mark the component aim outcome as 8 if you don't know the outcome.
