Reconfirmation of contract length.

Created

None

We confirm with employers that their employment contracts for apprentices span long enough to cover an expected Gateway/EPA period when a learner is on-boarded. Within the new funding rules, the below statement is made:

"Evidence of completion would include: • Signed statement by employer and provider that the apprentice is still employed until the end-point assessment is completed." - Page 66.

Am I right in my assumption that we need to reconfirm that previously signed declarations regarding contract length remain true prior to a learner reaching Gateway?

Kind Regards,

Ben

Yes, they need to confirm that they're still employed at the point of EPA. Their initial promise that they would be is not sufficient for this purpose.

Thank you, Ben - much appreciated!

No problem. We conduct an exit interview, a part of which includes asking for confirmation from the employer that the apprentice was employed at EPA. Email confirmation would be a less formal, but still satisfactory.
