Aptem or Pics (Pellcomp)

Hi Samantha,

I've had the pleasure of PICS and also Aptem. All I would say is before you consider Aptem think very carefully. A dream will be sold (which I guess is sales job!), however in reality it has many issues. I found the relationship fractured at best and got nothing but contempt if challenged something that thought was not right. I always got the feeling it is their way or the highway.

The change from PICS to Aptem went pretty badly also when we did the initial upload and they only allow you to take over the previous and current years data (so historically trap your data or keep stored somewhere safe).

The cost will surprise you too. We paid in 2 months with Aptem what we paid for the whole year with PICS, so also take that onboard when choosing.

Have you considered BUD at all? Similar in approach to Aptem but from what I can gather they have it working better, pretty sure they have the portfolio side too.

We are a University using Aptem and are pretty happy with the system. Things have moved along pretty quickly and the system continues to be improved. We'd be quite happy to show you our system and answer any questions you may have. There are some limitations but we find that the response times to issues raised and customer service in general is very good.

I'm not sure how it stacks up price-wise.
