New DAS needed?

Created

None

It's been along week and I'm having a brain flump moment!

A learner enrolled in May, has completed no work in the qualifying period so is being withdrawn back to start. The DAS was funded by levy gifting.

If the learner was to re-enrol would a new DAS cohort be needed or could the existing DAS cohort (still live) be kept as is and continue? The learners commitment to programme is still in question and it was a laborious task supporting the employer with the levy gifting and DAS and they are reluctant to go through it all again but I'd like to have all the answers to feed back.

TIA

If a learner withdraws without completing one episode of learning – for example, without attending the first class – then they must not be included on the ILR.

You only get a datalock 09 if the start date in the ILR is before the start date on the apprenticeship service funding record, so in theory you could use the existing funding record.
