Subcontractor Standard Assurance Declaration

Hi Michelle,

Are you referring to our audit report and risk ratings for the ESFA to review? If so that's 31st July 2023.

If you mean the subcontractor declaration where we declare what ESFA contracts we have issued than there is no longer a mandatory window for this but I imagine you wont be able to upload any additions after 31st July.

I tried checking for certain but ended up locking myself out due to an incorrect password 🙄.

Its through the large document exchange:-

Providers that subcontract £100,000 or more of their delivery (or are anticipated to exceed this), across all ESFA funding streams, are required to submit an external auditor’s final report and assurance declaration (Annex B) through ESFA Document Exchange. Providers must do this by 31 July 2023.

An e-mail extract from January should give you all you need:

Action required by 31 July 2023

As you have declared the total value of your subcontracting delivery across all ESFA funding streams, exceeds or is anticipated to exceed, £100,000 in this academic year, you will need to:

To upload your documents to ESFA document exchange
log into Document exchange
Select ‘Send a new document’

You must separately return both your assurance declaration and report to us.

To return your report:
choose ‘Subcontracting Standard RAG rated report’ as the document type

To then return your assurance declaration (Annex B)
choose ‘‘Subcontracting Standard Statement as the document type
