I interpret this as the costs of hosting the external placement are not training or assessment but are included in the training costs TNP 1 for this standard as it is an eligible cost that is passed on to the placement provider.
As the placement is not considered training or assessment it is not subcontracting as defined in 89.1.
It looks like the evidence for this is considered as part of the EPA gateway and is evidenced with Practice Assessment Document (PAD) completed and signed-off by their practice and academic assessor.
Not an expert on this standard.

Nursing Associate Placement Costs

Good Morning,
The 23/24 funding rules have a paragraph around Nursing Associate external placement costs. Some of our NHS trusts are asking for costs associated with placement fees to be paid to them and that it is NOT considered subcontracting. What I am trying to understand is what the evidence requirements are for this? How do we ensure the quality without a formal subcontract being in place that at least sets out the roles and responsibilities for each party?
