Intergrated Programmes - AED and Achievement Dates

Created

None

Hi,

Please could someone share what they are recording for AED and Achievement Dates for learners on integrated programmes?

For example, we have a programme where the EPA is an exam at the end of the last module. So technically, they finish practical and EPA at the same time. In this case, how would people record this in the ILR.

Thanks in advance,

Claire

It will depend what the assessment plan says. Some state that EPA is not completed until the assessment/exam board has convened in the presence of an external examiner and ratified the marks? If so, the board date would be the achievement date.

As for the actual end date, it's a hard one. It also kind of depends on the assessment plan, and what the gateway criteria are. Logic would suggest your actual end date will be the last point at which they did anything that's considered learning prior to them starting the EPA exam at the end of the last module, at which point you'd mark the aim as 2/8 (and the ZPROG as 1/8) until the EPA was taken/finished, and the outcome was known.

My kingdom for some dedicated degree apprenticeships guidance though.
