Hi,

Does anyone know when the guidance will be updated in relation to apprentices changing employer during EPA where the new employer won't be supporting the apprenticeship?

Thanks

Here it is:

  1. Where an apprentice has changed employer after they have completed all the training and reached gateway, including where the new job role is not related to the apprenticeship, they may complete the end-point assessment in agreement with the end-point assessment organisation and the provider that it can be satisfactorily taken and paid for. We will issue further technical details as to how this change should be reported to us including how the provider can claim the completion payment.

Thanks Martin, I've read that part, I meant guidance relating to evidence or how it should be recorded in the ILR.

I was also wondering when the technical guidance would be realised. It will be interesting to see if it covers apprentices that sit EPA and then change employer, but need to do resits with employer 2.

Hi all,

Following on from post above, I know the guidance hasn't been updated yet, but has anyone heard when this will likely be?

I've also questioned this ruling with the service desk, if they new employment isn't related to the apprenticeship, therefore a change of employer won't be actioned, why do they actually need to be employed?

I have a situation at the moment, an employer has let the apprentices go due to business not being good and isn't answering calls.  We are unable to get evidence of redundancy from him & i'm going to have to contact the app service to have the cohorts stopped - 2 of them have new employers, but one is in gateway and now unemployed.  Where do we stand with this - can you offer any advice?

Hi All,

After some searching this morning I have come up empty on any technical guidance regarding this. Does anyone know more about how this is applied?
