Transfers from another provider with under 12 months left

Hi all,
We're in the process of building a new enrolment solution, and are obviously trying to cover all bases and scenarios based on the funding rules. In the new rules for 23/34 point 62.3 states the following:
So if a learner transfers from another main provider with less than six months left they do not have to do a minimum of 12 months. However in our ILR that'll come out as an error surely? Is there a code or flag somewhere that we need to check to get around this, does anyone know please?
Side note: I don't think this scenario has ever happened in the relatively short time I've been in post (two and a half years) but I can see our developer's point of view that we need to allow for it from a future-proofing point of view.
Thanks Martin, it's always the simplest answers isn't it? I was always under the impression that this was only used for restarts with the same provider (after BIL etc). Many thanks.
