TImely completion

Hi All

I'm trying to find out some information about how the ESFA measure timely completion but i can't find anything.

In our own report we currently do  number of completers ( acheivement date before PED) / number of completers + number of withdrawals > 42 days

Does this seem right?

Ah Timely. The ESFA have pretty much phased it out. - It is not available for E&T on view your education data and is being phased out for Apps in favour of the Apprenticeship accountability frame work.

In answer to your question though you need to include all achievers who achieve up to 90 days after their PED in the numerator and all qualified starts - those that pass their qual. period (may be less than 42 days it depends on the aim duration!) - who have a PED in the current reporting year in the denominator.

-- Or --

Achieves with an achievement date < PED + 90 days

/

All starts that have passed their Qual date with a PED in the reporting year

From Business Rules for Qualification Achievement Rates from 2017 to 2018 (publishing.service.gov.uk):

13 The timely QAR calculation measures the number of aims achieved on or before
their planned end date, or no more than 90 days after it, as a percentage of the
number of aims planned to complete in the reporting year. We do not count achieved
aims with an actual end date more than 90 days after the planned end date as
achievements in the timely method.

Timely is dead, personally wouldn't waste effort trying to make up my own version of it...
