Error re: planned learning hours for Skills Bootcamp

Help needed please.
Skills Bootcamp R01 2023-2024 - I have uploaded the 1st R01 ILR and have lots of errors, all for 'The Planned learning hours have not been returned'. These lines relate to learners who started their learning in 2022-2023, with planned learning hours of 487 showing in PICS (no ILR errors before now). I've not come across this before.
Is this a known issue, or should these learners have their planned hours split between 2022-2023 & 2023-2024?
eg
2022-2023 - 300 hours
2023-2024 - 187 hours
Total 487 hours

Thanks in advance.

  • This is an annual field: this field must be updated at the start of each teaching year.

  • The hours collected in this field are the planned hours for the learner for the teaching year.

  • This field is only collected where active learning is present during the year.

See the above from the ILR specifications

Thanks Martin West

So am I right in thinking that the total overall hours need to be split between each teaching year, if teaching starts in 1 teaching year and ends in the next?
Steve Hewitt would welcome your input too.

Sorry, not done any Bootcamps (yet!), so not certain on the spec.

PSM doesn't mention hours, so is it important? I assume it's just the learner level hours in which case, as Martin says, needs splitting between the two academic years.

Steve Hewitt Just tried removing the planned hours but it doesn't work. Planned hours have to be recorded.

Yeah, no, it'll need a value, it's just nothing important happens to it. Would go for the academic year split you mention in your initial post.
