Company Name Change (Companies House)

Hi all, 

We have an employer who is registered on Companies House. They have recently changed their company name but the DAS has informed them they cannot update their current DAS account and will need to create a new one under the new company name. 

Would we process this as a change of employer from the date that the company changed name?

Hi Jo, 

In the end the employer had to create a new DAS account under the new company name. 

They removed their PAYE details from the previous account and added them to the new account, stopped the apprentice's record and then we processed it as a change of employer and added the record to their new account (by doing the change of employer option on the DAS). We drew up new paperwork because of the changes and kept a note of what happened with the new paperwork so their was a trail for the changes.
