Functional Skills being undertaken at another provider

Created

None

We have someone who has approached us to undertake a hair qualification under the Adult Skills funding but is already doing English and Maths functional skills at another provider.  Would this be allowable or should they really do all their quals at the same provider - (and so maybe see if the other provider does the hair qual and do it there)

We just want to ensure we don't get stung for a learner having ESFA funding via two providers.

It's fine for Adult Skills, not fine for Study Progs or Apprenticeships.

Agree with Steve Hewitt. However, you do need to be careful of the £4400 per learner funding cap though. Depending on the unweighted rate of the hair dressing course you MAY receive less than you thought that you would for the learner. From memory the ESFA will prioritise this funding to the first enrolling provider.
