Hi there, I have some asylum seekers on an AEB funded programme. They are not permitted to work and as such do not have NI Numbers. Yet, I am being told they must have an NI number to access funding.. do you know if that is correct?

NINO is not enforced as mandatory by the ILR Validation Rules for anyone but Apprentices, so it's fine to claim AEB funding for those without a number.
