We get our employers to sign a new training services agreement every time we take on a cohort of learners for them, regardless of how many. Like you, we update our template agreement on a yearly basis to account for any changes to the funding rules, which we'd obviously want to be a part of any ensuring arrangement with a partner, whether we had a previous relationship or not.
Do you need to do it like this? Maybe not. If you're happy with the core agreement from 2021 and you're planning on simply adding a schedule for the apprentice information (e.g., dates, TNP breakdown), then it could work. You'd just need to be very mindful of the fact that the 2021 core agreement wouldn't feature any of the updates present on the 2022 and 2023 versions, and that if you did a comparison and found that you actually wanted to retain some of those clauses/provisions, you'd need to create a variation and add them as an addendum.
My advice? Get them to sign the new one. Less hassle. You're the provider, you make the rules in this regard.

Service level agreement - Model Apprenticeship Contracts
Created
Morning,
We currently use the AeLP modal contracts that get refreshed yearly, my question is though how often do you get an employer to sign an agreement? We have a contract with one employer dated 2021 as that is when we first started working with them, they are just about to put through another cohort of apprentices so do we need an updated version? I have requested one but they are asking if the 2021 signed version should still covers us.
many thanks
