In short, you'd need to have a chat with the apprentice and employer to see what the impact on their off-the-job obligation would be after reducing their hours
If the consensus is there'd be no impact, do nothing.
If you all agree there is an impact, then adjust the documentation accordingly, including extending the PED where appropriate. The OTJ stays the same unless there's a need for additional training, and the ILR also stays the same.
I'd suggest reading the Actions to take when there is a change to the working hours of the apprentice during the programme (e.g. an increase or a decrease to original working hours) on page 109 for a more comprehensive breakdown of what actions to take though - 2223_Provider_Rules_Version_2_Final_Updated030423.pdf (publishing.service.gov.uk)

Apprentice working hours change mid way through programme
Created
We have an apprentice currently working 30 hours per week and has been on programme for 3 months. The Apprentice would like to reduce hours to 20 hour per week. Are we okay to extend the length of stay if they have already started or do they just go past their expected end date and we redo the apprentice agreement?
thanks
