Hi Kelly, there are only a few CFE's in the country. As far as I'm aware these are college groups that have colleges located nationally and therefore don't have a single or predominant local authority to work with. Not sure what a GFE is though so can't say if they are part of CFE's or not.
I'm not aware of a list, I'm only aware of them as I work at one, I think there are only 3 or 4 all together. If you get your high needs element 2 places from your local authority you should negotiate with them but as we deal with so many local authorities we get any growth centrally.
If you look at the ILR tab on this spreadsheet and filter the Local authority field for "(2)", you'll see the six current CFEs ;)
GFE's need to negotiate extra HNS places with their Home LAs.

In-year growth

I'm currently reviewing the in year growth information for 22/23 (in preparation for when the information drops for this academic year). Does anyone know if GFE's are classed in the CFE category for this purpose please?
