Prior Attainment

Created

Hi,

Just doing some last minute data checks through PDSAT. We have a handful of learners that, we were unable to gather a prior attainment level for them. I' assuming we can leave them as prior level 98 on the ILR?

Many thanks in advance for any support that can be offered.

The ESFA generally don't like '98-not known' and say it should only be used in 'exceptional circumstances'. If it's only a handful and you've got evidence that you've attempted and have been unsuccessful in gathering this data, I can't see it being an issue. If you had a hundred.. different kettle of fish perhaps.

If these are particularly high level learners, I would recommend using "other qualification, level not known" as someone is very unlikely to go from no qualifications up to a Level 5+ or something
