My understanding is that they would not need a BIL if it where under four week. If it where over four weeks then I would still say that they would not need to have a BIL as they are still in active learning but must evidence with with OTJ etc but I would be interested to hear others opinions.

Hi,
Could someone please clarify the break in learning rule
'An apprentice may take a break in learning either with, or without a break in employment.'
Can an apprentice take a break in their employment but continue to study? It is a short break of 4 weeks.
