PDSATs 24A-215

At the R14 (for 2022/23), our DSATs report 24A-215 'Planned off-the-job training hours' was clear. Now, looking at the R04 data for 2023/24, we have a handful of Apprentices appearing on it. As these started in 2022/23, does anyone know why they are only appearing in the 2023/24 ILR data returns?

Then, if I use the new(ish) DfE Off The Job Calculator, I can see that our calculated hours are under the DfE calculation by 2 or 3. Is this difference a major issue or is it OK as long as we can provide the rationale for our calculation (and evidence that it meets the minimum requirement)?

Thanks

This should be the minimum hours required already? Are you sure your internal calculation is meeting the minimum requirement?

Thanks Richard. I am working through the hours to check; I suspect we have 'rounding up / rounding down' issues (we have inherited much of this data from previous team).

I'm more confused as to why these are only appearing in this year's DSATs when they all was OK at the R14 and previous ILR Returns / DSATs reports (the Apprentices started last year).

Thank You

I know the DSAT calculations for the similar report 23A-216 - "Actual off-the-job training hours" was wrong when the 22/23 online version was first released. We emailed the ESFA about it. I suppose they could have fixed this and a slight error in 23A-215?

Not sure what else it would be if none of the data has changed between years.
