Functional Skills Payments for Apprentices

Created

We have a learner who completed and achieved their level 1 functional skills as part of their level 2 apprenticeship, but didn't have enough time left on programme to progress onto level 2 functional skills.

The learner has now progressed onto a level 3 apprenticeship and we are working with them to get their functional skills up to level 2. Are we able to claim functional skills payment again for the new level or can you only claim one Maths and English functional skills payment per person?

Thanks in advance!

Hi,  functionals level 2 funding hasn't been claimed previously, just level 1, then you will be fine to claim. You can receive funding for different levels of functional skills as long as its required.
