Community learning - funding

I'm looking at the 19+ community funding and I'd like to check my understanding. If I had a non regulated course example guitar and I was teaching them for 7 hours, under the single matrix would I draw down £50?

No. CL is *not* generated on an aim by aim basis. You have an allocation and, at the end of the year, you tell ESFA that you've spent it.

CL does not use Single Activity Matrix funding rates (or any other funding rates).

apologies, new to community learning so want to make sure i fully understand. The ESFA helpdesk have said we should contact our Local Authority for the rate - but reading other comments it seems we can set our own rates - is there any guidance / guidelines on this if not the SAM?

Sorry, have you got your own CL allocation or are you subbing to a local Authority?

If it's your own, you can do what you want with it. I'd suggest dividing the allocation by the cost of a teaching hour (with all the overheads (all of them!)) and that's how many hours of stuff you can deliver. In a sense the number of learners you have is sort of irrelevant.

if you're subbing to an LA then it's up to them what they pay you and for what (some will have incredibly labyrinthine processes, some will not)
