Apprenticeship Employer Transfers
Edited
Hi all,
We have had an instance where an apprentice has not informed us that they have moved employers. We can therefore only get the apprenticeship agreement/training plans in place and undertake a documented discussion to check eligibility from the date we have become aware of the change.
I feel like we are unable to record that the learner has started with the new employer until we have undertaken the documented discussion/initial assessment with the new employer, and therefore the start date on the apprenticeship agreement and training plan would need to be delayed until this has taken place.
As a result, we would need to:
·Put the learner on a break in learning until all paperwork and compliance checks are undertaken where the gap between the end date of the previous employer and the date we can get paperwork in place with the new employer is between 30 days and 12 weeks
·Withdraw the learner and then restart them when all paperwork and compliance checks are undertaken where the gap between the end date of the previous employer is greater than 12 weeks.
Has anybody else had a similar issue and taken a different approach? Any help or guidance you can provide would be appreciated.
