I had the same issue last year with 1 SP learner who had a work placement aim open at the back end of their programme (core/day1 aim was Employability). I never got a response back from the service desk to advise if the core aim should of been changed to the work placement aim.
I think from an audit perspective it would be a control issue not a funding issue, as long as you can prove the learner completed the work placement.

16 to 19 - core aim
Created
We have a vocational 16-19 study programme and as such, the core aim is the work experience aim.
I have 2 questions...
If the work experience doesn't start from day 1, should another aim be set as the core aim until it starts?
If a learner withdraws before they have started their core work experience aim - should another aim be set as a core aim?
We have learners who have met the qualifying period - however, they have left before they started work placement and the funding report shows no funding has been drawn down...
Any words of wisdom gratefully received. Thank you
