No, that's absolutely fine, you can have all the funding.
Only very *slight* possibility is AEB is currently capped at £4k a year, but the 4 quals you mention wouldn't come to that (I'm almost certain the cap is calculated before Area Cost and Disadvantage Uplift is added). Either way, that's an automatic calculation anyway, you wouldn't use the funding adjustment.
If you've got an Initial Assessment that says they're below L1 I think it would be fine?
Presume confusion could be arising because D-G "counts" for Apprenticeships as meeting FS L1 requirements, but I'm not aware of this stopping you funding FS L1 via AEB for a learner with D-G?

Hi,
I wanted to double check something which I couldn't find in the AEB funding rules.
We have adult learners coming to us with no Maths or English qualifications, we carry out an initial assessment for all learners to determine the learners current level.
As an example lets say "x" learner is assessed at Entry 3 Maths and Entry 3 English. They start in September & by January have taken the exam and passed both & are keen to carry on learning so the natural progression would be to study the Level 1 Maths and Level 1 English.
Is this an issue? Do we need to RPL anything? Since we will be receiving two sets of funding across one academic year.
I appreciate that AEB is paid on the qualifications studied/achieved rather than the hours studied but wanted to ensure we aren't overclaiming.
