past planned end date

If you have a learner past their planned end date do we issue a new TP and AA with both a new practical period and new EPA end date and if so, do you we need to re calculate the OTJ hours as the practical period will have been extended?

If we have a learner who has completed the practical period and is awaiting EPA but the EPA is delayed and is therefore going to be past the original apprenticeship end date then do we issue a new TP and AA with a new revised end date of the EPA?

There are lots of conflicting advice around this and with the duration of the practical end date potentially being longer surely that would require a new OTJ calculation although we should not amend the OTJ and end dates in the ILR?

Hi Kay,

If the learner has completed the Practical Period (period of learning) and is awaiting EPA, then why would you issue any new documents or increase OTJ hours? Even if the EPA is delayed, this doesn't impact on the Practical Period which as you stated is already complete.
