Apprenticeship change of employer - PED query



We have an apprentice who was made redundant by her original employer but luckily walked straight in to another job with an employer willing to support the remainder of her apprenticeship. 

This apprentice has around 5 months left of her original practical period planned end date but the new employer thinks it will take longer and would like to extend this.   

Should we keep the original planned end date on the Training Plan and Agreement as I know we can't change the planned end date in the ILR (or am I wrong?).   Also, if the end date is extended the off the job hours increase, should we keep the original hours in the ILR / Training Plan?
