Co Investment - 22 to 24 Year Old EHCP or Care Leaver

Hi all,
Following the recent webinar regarding the 24/25 funding rule changes, I am not sure what to do for a couple of our in-flight learners.
We have two apprentices who are aged 22 years of age at the start of the 23/24 academic year who have an EHCP.
The learners started in September 23 & the other November 23 & for both we have received the 5% co-investment in full
Looking into the new rule with the removal of co-investment for 22-24 apprentices with an EHCP and/or care leavers.
Would the correct process be to contact the ESFA to highlight the learners to them, once they "adjust" something on their end to make it look like the learner should either have a pro-rata co-investment for "x" months or will remove the co-investment all together.
Then we refund the difference back to the employer?
