I note from 1/8/24 the funding rules is changing for those learners that hold Grade 1 or F for GCSE’s will now be given exemption for level 1 FS needed for their Apprenticeship. This will apply to existing learners and new learners. The query I have is if a learner has been on programme since November 2023 and is due to complete their Apprenticeship in December 2024 and have been taught for L1 FS (as they needed to have passed it) they still have not passed but do pass in September 2024 are they then expected to work towards and attempt Level 2 FS? Or if we then use the exemption do they then have to attempt level 2 FS?
